BORED.....

So, to be honest, I'm a little bored with my own blog. I want it to be professional with good information, but I'm not sure what topics people are really interested in. I could make it more personal too if anyone wants or we could make more of a discussion/interaction kind of thing. If anyone reading this has any suggestions on what they would like me to talk about or post on, please let me know!

don't get bored, christy! keep it up! i'm reading. i guess the one thing i'm most interested in right now is how in the world to know when i am in labor (i was induced with fox, so i don't really know what i should be looking for besides my water breaking). i'm also highly interested in IUDs and how soon after birth you can get one, pros/cons, types, safety, other types of contraception to consider, etc. and i'm interested in how to recover from childbirth with you have a toddler. have mercy, that makes me nervous.

erin,
I hope I posted what you are looking for...I'll prob post pp depression next in regards to the question about handling two kids now-it is a major change and a big trigger for anxiety/depression. It does get better with time, but with a newborn and a toddler it is very hard. the recovery is usually faster, but the managing of two when you are used to one is tough:)

I think you're leaving great posts! I don't know how much your into herbs and things of that nature, but I chose a midwife (you!) over doctors because I wanted my pregnancy, labor and delivery experiences to be natural. This included getting acupuncture treatments 3-4 times a month, choosing natural "medications" when needed during pregnancy, ect. Do you have any input on herbs, acupuncture, acupressure or things along those lines?
Thanks Christy!

Thanks for sharing this blog Sherridan!! :) I've been loving Ina May's guide to childbirth and I would love to hear any input you have on natural "pain" management during labor. I'm so glad you have a blog!

I would like a blog about a check up before you even start to conceive. I've read about what you should get checked, but I'm wondering how important is it to really have that pre-check up and who to go to. I'm confused on the who to go to part because I want a midwife. Do I have a pre-check with a midwife or should I just go to my regular general practitioner? Also, when is a good time to start pre-natal visits?

Thank you for blogging!

Priscilla,
I went ahead and made a preconception post. Let me know if you have further questions. Also it is good to see your midwife by about 12-13 weeks at the latest. I'd be happy to see you anytime as well. Thanks for reading!
